I'll stick with a default aircraft to counter FEX a little... :P

Grandpa took the family out fishing in his Almost-As-Old-As-He-Is-Goose! After a few hours, the kids got bored and everyone packed up for a quick flight home!

Not being able to use payware caused a frantic search for a freeware amphibian, but the search was quite succesful, here's my FS9 shot.

Good competition   :)

But please keep in mind that FS9 has an advantage over FSX in that FSX needs the hardware to display all it can, and, FSX needs good and well developed freeware add-ons which are just now starting to hit the servers. FS9 has had years of time in order to meet hardware and add-on needs and most can run it top notch, where FSX needs someone with the right-stuff to show what it can do.

Dont smack me for posting a link to another forum, but, here are larger images of FSX with freeware scenery and the right hardware installed (running DX9 in those)

http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_p ... ?TID=24248

Good luck and have fun!

Can only agree with that, although FSX certainly won't need the same amount of addons to give the same percentage of improvement. There are two addons in my shot - Flight Environment X and TreeX, and FSX looks vastly superior to my FS9, with all its addons.

And just out of curiosity, what water are you using? Looks very much like FEX, clouds and all, and if so, which set is installed (provided it's not your own custom one)?
