Screenshot of the month idea

Hi all,
not sure where the screenshot of the month comp idea's originate from or if there's somewhere else this post should be. but i did have an idea for a future SSOTM - scenes from Films.
There's enough aviation films about featuring so many different aircraft and the aim is to create a shot that instantly reminds people of the film.....  OK so we may see a lot of Topgun in there but there's plenty of others to choose from.
"Battle off Britain", The Firebombers in "Always" "Memphis Belle" i'm sure you all get the idea.......

Just a thought anyway....

gosh darn you!!!! lol, If i ever squeaked by a judges choice comp, i was going to use that as a theme. you pretty much hit the nail on the head of my idea!!!

lol, either way if it gets accomplished, this is something i would like to see also.

Hi there, very nice idea, but Screenshot of the Month is about selecting the best of each screenshot forum so there are no themes involved.

The best way for you to realise this idea of yours would be to take part and win judge's choice and set it as your theme.

Perhaps you mean the monthly comp? I'll mention it in the Admin forum, maybe at some point in the future it could be an option, depending on what all the mods thought.

I love this idea. Maybe have a choice of 5 or 6 films and people would have to describe the scene the make the shot from. So many great films to choose from...Raiders (flying wing) Star Wars..(x wing etc.)  :)

I was thinking more of a any aviation movie, pick your favorite type thing.

there's a little known john wayne movie that i think you be cool to do.
