Gallery Nominations

Postby Jakemaster » Sun Oct 15, 2006 9:37 pm

I just realized that I dont have a screenshot in the gallery.  And I think I should since I tell pretty much everyone how to take a screenshot and many people have complimented me on my shots.  Not to mention I have two first place wins and a third place win at canadian pilots.

Anyways here are 3 of my best shots, choose 1, 2, 3, or none.

3 is too small for me

2 is a bit boring and needs some more spicening up... ( Dusk/ Dawn??)

1 is just giving me a wrong feeling, I think with a flat horizontal eyesight it'd be much better.

Ow and Jake

You can do better! I've seen plenty of your stuff which is much better than this!

Number 1...Definately needs some AI...

Number 2...Plain boring...Needs more ground to be seen...

Number 3...Way too small...More of the scenery would've been great..

Just my 2 cents ;)

1- you cut the tail, which could have been avoided and has no justification
2- well... nice... but nothing is happening...
3- interresting, nice cropping... but the lighting is not correct. the sun should be ligthing the right hand side of the fuselage (the one we see), and a less greyish sky would have enhanced the pic...

otherwise great quality and very promising shots, but remember we are looking for pretty perfect shots for the gallery, then we have to be picky...

keep on jake, you'll make it!!

Just browsing and noticed this.... I think the main problem with these shots is the way they are introduced rather than the shots themselves... don't flame me, just my 'trying to be helpful' 2 cents...

The first two are great, imho, and I have no problem with cutting the tail off - it's an action shot and it adds realism - too fast to get it all in. Then again, I'm not an expert... Both are beautifully crisp. The second would make a great relaxing screensaver.

They're not quite gallery material, though, for the reasons mentioned by others, but then again by those standards my shots shouldn't be in the gallery either  ;)

Best regards

Krigl
