Some usefull screenshot tools

Postby killerbunny » Sat Jul 08, 2006 5:43 am

Well, I'll list my tools that I use to make and prep my screenshots here. :)

1. F1view, a very usefull tool to move around your aircraft and in the virtual cabin

2. Recorder Module, Today I haven't used it yet, but tomorow I will :) Check out the freeware screenshots forum to see what this is all about (you can't miss it ;))

3. FsSkyworld ,  A tool that allows you to change your sky color, clouds, lens flare, sun & moon textures, ...

4. Grabclipsave , A simple utility that will capture multiple screenshots & automatically save them to the directory of your choice by hitting printscreen.

5. I use Photoshop to resize and prep my shots, but If you don't have that then Irfanview is a good solution.  A free photo editing tool.

These are the tools I use, please feel free to add yours :)

I would suggest Picasa for image editing, I personally much prefer it over infranview.

For taking screenshots I use Mgrab because GCS stopped working, if anyone is interested I can get you a link later

I like GCS but dont let it resize it for you  ::) gets crappy quality. I also use photoshop and found it a great tool, even though its quite expensive.

:) Hye evrybody, to take screen i use an other soft which is "savescreen v 3.3.2" Like the one use killerbunny, you can choose a directory, but that is really good in this software is that you can select a lot of mod of capture. You can just select just a part of the screen, for example i use an 19" and a 17" crt i put the panel and plane on the 19 and gauge gps atc on the 17, and i just select the 19" like this i have always the good part!

you can already  select all of the screen!

the screen could be take by hitting printscreen, or automatically! in the automatically mod you choose the time between 2 screen from 50ms to 2min and more.

You can name you screen automaticly, for example 2000N-F1CT-LFBP-LFBM-xxx "xxx" will be the number of screen.

You can select bmp or jpg and in jpg the compresion!!!

That a very good software, i have took more than 1500 pct  and i just have to select them after a fly, because a  lot of them haven't got an interest. But it's allow to have a very big database of screen in order to do a mosaic of screen ;)

You forgot FSScreen by Matthias Holzer...... simple and easy to use. You'll need to google for it though.

Screenhunter works very well too; just turn off the "include mouse pointer" and "show dialog box after capture" options
