Not sure if y'all remember, but I used to dabble in scenery creation for FSX. Well I finally got around to installing the MSFS2020 SDK. Cuttin' my teeth
on a simple airport right in my back yard that didn't get any love in the
default scenery. WT37 Lockwood Dry Coulee. The real life version is (for lack
of a better word) derilect. I sort of brought it back to life without going total fiction.
I used 99% default objects, but it will require one additional library for
the farm related stuff, backhoe, tractor, hay bails and cattle. I can't model
complex shapes yet
This is before. The sim thinks orchards are forests. As of now I am
hand placing individual trees to look like an orchard until i find a better way.
Also haven't figured out how to modify runway surfaces.....yet.

These are after.
Canadian geese. They appear to take off from the North field along the runway.
Cattle, and a good ol' John Deere
All the rocks are hand placed. Dry Coulee is a dried up lake/creek bed and large
stones are littered throughout the area. The default library has a good
representation of the kinds of rock we find around here.
Very common to see a black bear in the brush around here.
The only thing I "added" building wise, is the hanger. Gotta have a hanger.
And what's now a horse pasture used to be a bird enclosure.
Dude had crazy birds. You can kind of see the orchard here. just trying to
figure out how dense to make it. Not sure how trees effect frames in MSFS yet.
I can smell the alfalfa! These geese fly, I promise. just happen to catch them in the same place in every shot lol!
I'm off this week, so I should definitely get it done! Thanks for lookin'
