Blast From the Past

I was just looking through some of my old screenshots and found the ones where I was using Christian Buchner's TileProxy - a realtime Interface between online
satellite map services and FSX. In some ways it must be similar to what the new MSFS uses, perhaps a precursor to it. There's no way of getting it on Windows now,
but it was great while it lasted.

Lovely shots.
I didn't know about Christian Buchner's TileProxy. What a thing! I want that! Why on earth can't I get it? I'm guessing it ran off a server and couldn't be downloaded? :)
Would be great to see that again. Was there a charge?

Well, I posted this nostalgically as it's not possible to run it in Windows 10 :-( BUT first of all you'd need Windows 7 (possibly 8), as I think it's the last version
where you can disable driver signatures. All the information is on https://www.avsim.com/forums/forum/284- ... ect-forum/
and @ http://tileproxy.eklablog.com/ there's an excellent guide.
Download the software here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/tilepr ... 20Release/ Also Just Flight Revolution-X provides a complete 3D object
layer to go on top of aerial photographic scenery in FSX (for the U.K.)
