Hi there, been away for a little while.

Having just bought the new MFS, I was inspired to start a new project. Who knows how long the enthusiasm will last...
Hope to post from various trips with the emphasis on the scenery - because that's what MFS seems to be all about, after all.

First place on the list is Afghanistan, a beautiful but tormented country.


Quetta. First shot on the first trip in Afghanistan, and there's a whole tribe of excited individuals crowding round yelling FAIL! Because of course, Quetta isn't actually IN Afghanistan, is it? It's in Pakistan. Oh well. Will be more careful next time.

More mountainous now. In the distance on the left-ish horizon is the Registan Desert.


Looks like the Bing Maps coverage stopped for a while, nice ethereal golden look though.

We're going to land at the heavily guarded Ahmed Shah Baba International Airport. Fingers crossed.

Hi there, thanks for the comment. Long time no see!

Just a question - at the top of the forum page the sticky with your guidelines from 2010 says:
Max size per file: 350kb.
Max size for all files combined: 1500kb (1.5MB)

But the images upload thingy says:
Max size per file: 1200kb. 2000 pixels wide
Max size for all files combined: 8000kb.

From what I can see, the latter is what people are following today, but I don't want to break any rules. Which is correct?
