I learnt to fly on these gliders at Christchurch (just outside Bournemouth, England) in 1960.
The take -off by winch scared the c**p out of me but once in the air it was great!

that's neat...love the open air concept.....i never understood why one would like to be enclosed in a bubble in such a natural environment....

Probably like many others learnt to fly in gliders, slightly more modern than this one.
