It looks like the nose of a smaller aircraft has been rammed into it.

It was called the flying dump truck because of the load of ordinace it could carry, more the B-17 carried in WWII. it also had long loiter time and gave effective air cover over downed aircrews during helicopter rescue operations. it helped to save a lot of pilots and crews during Vietnam. Good old "SPAD".

If you like that Skyraider, made by the famous "Piglet" (Tim Conrad), I would strongly recommend you to download the photorealistic repaint made by Jan Visser for it.
It seems it's not available on Simviation though, but you can find it here: https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads ... er-va-176/

Thanks for link, the skyraider had a long period in service late 40's to early 80's.
