At 50 million, it doesn't matter too much. If you fall out of the sky, it hurts just as much!

I suspect the same thing will happen to me if I fall down my stairs and break my leg, Anthin!

Never balance on one leg trying to put your socks on while standing at the top of the stairs in the morning.....

Ok. That looks like fun. But what Sim? FSX? P3D? XP11? Or is it a video game?

FSX Acceleration with space gauge. The ship is from a Star Wars Google Sketchup model (Downloaded from 3dWarehouse) converted through Blender to a FSX .MDL and made flyable by adding a panel, sound folder, and modified aircraft.cfg and cribbing the "starship" air file by Bruce Fitzgerald

Yep. I suspected Bruce F, or Lazarus. Nice job. Not surprised. And not jealous. Just amazed. You have to know what you are doing to 'crib' air files AND get results. The cfg might of been a little easier, but still lots of work. FSX rules! All we need is more 'mechanics'. HA!

By "cribbed", I mean I just used it straight out of the box, so to speak. No big "brain power" on my part needed! The "cfg" does need editing for titles and the "ui" stuff, along with contact points and effects.

Oh ok. Bruce is good with air files. I dabble a bit. But am good with contact pts. I guess you used 'type 3' (skids) instead of wheels? If you need help with cnt pts I can look at them. Will even 'install' floats, so you can land on water. PM me. Or email me: napamule at aol dot com. Getting higher than 100 K ft is hard to do - I've tried it. But I am over that so don't really want to try anymore. But cnt pts - yes. Anytime. Cheers.

Getting above 100K is what the "space gauge" set does.

https://simviation.com/1/search?submit= ... p&x=13&y=7

You also need FSUICP (Unregistered if good)

Basically, you place the space gauge folder in the panel folder and add some gauge and window entries to the panel config file of any jet powered aircraft, and as long as you can get to 100K altitude, space gauge kicks in, and off you go. I mostly boost the static thrust a bit to give the engines a bit of extra "oomph".

Yep. I suspected Rob B. Got the gauge. Going to see if Ant's Swamp Wallaby will make it up there, just for fun. And yeah, the static thrust trick works for power but it don't do anything for handling - ha. I have Bruce F.'s BSG Raptor and got that jamming at Mach 4 and it will take the 'pressure' better I think. Yet it lands at 40 kts. With 20% power and spoiler deployed it holds at 110 kts and flys level to where you can turn loose of joy and it won't 'buck'. Thanks for the link. I have been driving the vehicles the daily the past 9 months that I hardly fly anything anymore. Are we having fun yet!
