Sometimes I just look on the maps for someplace interesting.

Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho - Seaplane Base S96, outside of the beautiful little town of Glengary, ID

Best known for the old Farragut Naval Training Station where they still do some submarine research.

Submarine research? In a lake in Idaho ???
Lake Pend Oreille ( /pɒndəˈreɪ/)[1] in the northern Idaho Panhandle is the largest lake in the U.S. state of Idaho and the 38th-largest lake by area in the United States, with a surface area of 148 square miles (380 km2). It is 43 miles (69 kilometers) long, and 1,150 feet (350 meters) deep in some regions, making it the fifth-deepest in the nation.

Real-time weather. NOT a sunny day.

The trip starts off in Lake Pend Oreille (S96), Idaho and ends up at Crawford Bay (CAR2), Canada.

Now this is what I call fantastic. I read all your posts. You sure cover a lot of ground if you found this one. I have been wanting Smisson, GA scenery since FS2000. Seems like nobody even heard of it. I wonder if Orbx has it? If so I would buy it. Your pics are always good. Oh, I have friends that moved to Salmon, ID from Mesa, AZ mind you and they love it up there - snow and all. Cheers.

I am sure I am not the only one that likes the wet landing strips. Here is a link to list of FSX water runways: http://aviation.allanville.com/misc/water_runways/
