The Grand Canyon, Redux

Flying the Grand Canyon in basic FSX/P3d isn't all that interesting. Doing it in Orbx North America open LC is only a little bit better.

As far as I know OZx Grand Canyon is the best available.

Well, it's been a while and I thought I'd check for any updates - Ta-Da! - OZX Grand Canyon and KGCN + HolgerMESH v2

The new version (2016) isn't all that different, but there are changes that make it worthwhile re-installing.

This is one of those sceneries that are a lot more fun to fly than just to look at the pictures.

Thanks, guys.

When I first got FSX I immediately flew over my house. BIG mistake!

The next destination was the Grand Canyon. Seriously, after seeing the FSX Grand Canyon, I was going to uninstall & toss FSX.

This is a bit better. :D

I'm still flying the Grand Canyon and areas around it. I like racing down and around the canyons. :D

Thought that some might find this interesting. This is the western edge of the Grand Canyons. Not really the end, but as far as the Download covers.

The area behind the plane is Orbx. Very smooth and "rolling" scenery that looks like it's covered in an olive drab moss.

I'm not sure that I'll ever live long enough to see what they do for the Grand Canyon, but who knows. :D

Is the virus warning I get when trying to download from Defender a false positive?

Did you download direct from OZX?
I had no problems.I have never had a
warning from OZX.
Jay is always on top of things.
Try it again and see if you get the same message.

What antivirus do you use?
Norton for instance does this a lot.

Like he said.

Never a problem downloading directly from their site, and I stopped using Norton years ago - Too many false positives, and fairly slow in it's scans.

It is possible that your computer has been compromised and is sending to the wrong place. If you have doubts about the authenticity and safety of the download, have a couple of different antivirus companies do an online scan, they all offer free scans in the hope that you'll buy their program.
