Alameda NAS long gone now, like Hamilton AFB, just a little way up the river.

Both industrial and housing estates now!... ...!

Fortunately, they both appear fully in FS 2002...(and FS 2004?).... :D ....!

Popular areas for my Flights over the years!

My guide for my various explorations.....>>>> http://www.airfields-freeman.com/

You are very welcome!

I spend most/ALL of my flying time exploring; "old scenery" in great detail, with the help of Maps, Photographs, and Wikipedia; and that site is a valuable source of information on old Airfields, now long gone!

Paul.... The Intrepid Explorer!.... :D ...!

I've spoke with a guy with Team SBD about them releasing scenery of the old air station and he explained there were elevation issues created by limitations within FSX , but they were still looking into producing the air station. I sailed out of there during the early 70's on the Enterprise and my squadron often practiced touch and go landings there in H-3's. There was a great scenery of NAS Alameda for FS-9 with the buildings, docks and a static carrier and supply ship, I can no longer find a copy of it on line.
