Fantastic Shots, Jet!

..but on my sim flights along Route 66 from Kingman to Barstow, I think I would by-pass Las Vegas, the Den of Iniquity!

I suspect that it has a bad reputation.... ;) ...!

My TV is full of adverts encouraging gullible folk to lose loads of money on various forms of gambling.

I think that Las Vegas is rather a bad place.... ;) .... ;) ...!

Paul...my money stays in my purse... ...!

Being a resident of Nevada and being in close proximity of Las Vegas, I'll tell you if you live here, don't gamble as everything in stacked in favor of the house.

That being said, there are wonderful things to see in the city. A week wouldn't cover the whole place.

Don't come in the summer unless you enjoy living in a hair dryer.

As a resident OF Las Vegas, I couldn't have put this better myself, although the flooding a few days ago didn't show our heat very well. Lol but all in all, it's not a bad place at all once you consider all the things you can do here at anytime of the day or night.

Just had a Google Street Map wander around Pahrump (Nevada), and I could feel the heat!

Highway 160, and Charleston Peak.
...and a Bike ride!...>>> https://youtu.be/6b1xt3p47uU

Certainly a true Desert location!
Not too far from Death Valley!

Pahrump is a great place to ride. Still the old west with lots of guns, people hiding out, half the town in jail (easy to find a job here as most can't pass the drug test). But, I love the place, a great raceway (spring valley) and lots of scenery. Don't forget to google valley of fire and red rock canyon (a great place for a ride).

Wonderful stuff, Bob!.... ...!

Just as I imagine it, down below; "the settlers", during my daily low-level explorations of the South-Western USA.

The Motorcycle run up the I-395 from Independence to Bishop via Lone Pine is always in my dreams!... :D ...!
...and the Route 66 run from Albuquerque to Barstow.... ;) ....!

Many thanks for the heads-up on Pahrump and the surrounding area, Bob...
..I will explore it in detail in my sim Cessna 150 Aerobat and Google Sat Maps!

Apparently.... ;) .....

Nevada Law allows a criminal to be shot dead in the progress of committing a serious crime, rather than being convicted, and spending a lifetime being daily fed, clothed, and watered in prison, at great expense.

...Nevadians have got the problem sorted!.... ...!

new Mexico to Barstow is probably the most boring trip I have ever taken. A few nice spots but mostly open desert.

395 on the other hand is beautiful. Just cut over down to Yosemety and then take highway 49 through the gold country. Be sure to stop in Columbia which is a restored 1850 mining town. Stay at the 49er ranch camp ground for under 20 bucks. Continue on to Sacramento and visit old town there.

After that make a run to San Francisco, one of my favorite cities in the world, along side Melbourne Aus.and pick up Highway one down to San Diego. That drive has got to be one of the most scenic areas in the world.

Just keep the oily side down and ride with the notion that everyone is out to kill you in there cares. Romberg that 50% of the drivers on the road are below average.
