Thought I would try a few default fs9 planes in Fsx.
Wright Flyer probably will not fly it in Fsx again

Very nice shots indeed.
We don't see these aircraft enough anymore. The FS9 default were some of the very first aircraft to enter my FSX hangar. I just loved their virtual cockpits (which, in 2007, were still quite rare on freeware aircraft).

Did you know most of the FS9 aircraft have been converted to FSX native format ? (with self shadows and no more props/canopies transparency issues anymore)
I think they can be found of the classic wings website.
The Comet and the Jenny are my favorite, and I fly them in P3D now.
The TriMotor was converted as well, and some very famous repainter made a ton of excellent repaints for it... I'm not sure of his name though... perhaps Garry Smith ? Something like that (sorry  )

EDIT: I should have searched before posting. However, I was very close: Garry J Smith it is :D

The Jenny and the Comet are very photogenic, I just copied the aircraft folders from my fs9 install and added thumbnails because I missed them in fsx the panels definitely need upgrading to fsx standards.

I transfered them for exactly the same reasons :D

The FSX-native Comet is there: http://www.classicwings.net/#!aircraft--d-/jbf8q

The patch for the FS9 Jenny (required) to make it FSX-native is here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/s ... _Jenny-zip

They are very shiny and seem to be a bit twitchy I might revert back to the original aircraft cfg.

I didn't notice the tweechy side, but indeed reverting to the original aicraft.cfg might be the good solution. Although for the Jenny, this might be part of some improvements that were made by the community, I don't know...
For me, the most important thing is that they finally display correctly in front of clouds and autogen :)

De Havilland made a lot of beautiful aircraft the Comet DH88 above, the Mosquito and the DH91 and the other Comet DH106. The DH91 is available for FS9 & FSX with a lot of repaints from the http://www.ford-tri-motor.net
