Somewhere in Canada I noticed my airspeed indicator was not working so hit pitot heat switch and still not working.

The eagle eyed amongst you will have spotted the problem with my airspeed indicator.

Looked out of the window and saw the reason the airspeed indicator was not working.

All is well when the pitot cover is removed.

Thou shall "remove before flight" or experience a slight "puckering factor". :)

Luckily, that airplane doesn't need an airspeed indicator except in a vertical dive. Just to see how fast you managed to go. The rest of the time you just fly around. If it gets too noisy from the wind, slow down a bit. If it gets too quiet, add some power and speed up a bit. Simple flying at its best..........

Thanks for the replies yes it is a slow aircraft made even slower by having floats attached at least it shows they modelled it in this aircraft.

If these images were all on the same flight then I'd say your rather rudimentary fuel dump system has a conflict with the air speed indicator
