Leyte 1945

I know MSFS is not specifically a combat sim, but there are some cool combat aircraft to fly. Like this Ki-43 "Oscar." I don't remember how I stumbled upon this gem, but you can only get it here: http://homepage3.nifty.com/ryukichi/RS_ ... -II_r1.zip
It's by Ryukichi Shimizu, is a beautiful model, FSX native and fun to fly.

Then there's David Copley's P-38. It's an FS9 model and needs some mods to work in FSX. Probably someone else has posted those mods, but I'm a bit of a masochist and like the DIY route. This one snowballed.

After fixing the panel, the aircraft displayed properly, then I fixed the funky prop disks, still wasn't satisfied and ended up redoing the textures in 2048-DDS format. The result speaks for itself. Nothing left to do but...

TURN 'EM LOOSE!!
