Lost an engine 10 miles from CYFC added a bit of excitement to the flight.

Dave, don't really think you were in any real danger or had a problem with one engine out...

It is when both engines quit..

Then you could be stuck up there in the air until they send up a mechanic...

Nice technique Dave, you had a slight bank towards the side with the running engine . Thats how its done in real life too, as you must already know.

A friend of mine was working in Wichita last year when a King Air 200 had an engine failure on takeoff....the aircraft immediately rolled over and hit a FlightSafety sim training building near the field....twins like the King Airs can be down-right dangerous and give no warning in certain flight modes.

Engine out with props is a tough problem to solve...but Burt Rutan certainly came up with the most original "safety twin" design!

Thanks Airmail I fly with random failures enabled it adds a bit of a unknown when flying it can add a bit of drama to a otherwise uneventful flight. Always make sure you check twice before cutting the fuel off, you don,t want to kill your good engine by mistake and feather the prop. No real danger flying a load of pixels on a screen, I will call this guy to fix it.

I got my Call Sign from a comment I made when as a New Captain we were loading the Douglas DC3 on wheels/skis to fly a trip into a remote lake to set up a Cache for a University.

I said out load I felt like a Flying Trucker...it stuck for the rest of my Aviation Career...
