Spanish airforce bought cheap T6's to USA. This put an end to the Hispano HA 100 advanced trainer program.
Those planes were painted bare metal or yellow-orange. Those USA planes could not be used in war against Morocco by agreement.
During the Sahara war, Hispano Buchon's (spanish Me 109G highly modified , Merlin engines, two Hispano 20 mm cannons on wings and Oerlikon rocket launchers) were too fast for ground attack on desert targets. Spain bought T6's to France (avoiding the USA restriction) and equipped with Buchon's Oerlikon rocket launchers an painted in desert cammo, known as lizard.
Note: It is well known the german failure of not installing auxiliary fuel tanks to Me 109's to extend their range, the Spanish airforce made auxiliary fuel tanks for Buchon's in order to reach Ifni.

@ Fliying Trucker
Freeware Warwick Carter T6 civilian restoration, as said not at home and cant paste the link, but searching for Warwick Carter T6 you'll get to download.
In fact I think it is the best T6, I have merged with Alpha for the Spanish liveries, but shure you'll get liveries for this bird.
