The spitfire usually gets all the glory but the humble Hurricane gets none.

I'm a real fan of the Hurri. nice pix Dave. I'm stumped about something I saw in the last screen shot. I can't figure out what that is between the Landing Gear Bays? Any idea?

What you're seeing is the inside of the wheel well center section.

I did a little more research and found something interesting about this. You're right Flex, it is the center section, to be more precise it's a view of the front face of the main wing spar.
I just couldn't seem to get my eyeballs and brain (approx the same size) working together to see it in the correct perspective. I kept seeing a rectangular panel in front of the scoop.
Now here's the rub, there is supposed to be a fairing/panel there to enclose the aft section of the wheel well. BUT, I've also seen a few photos where that panel was not there. I wonder why?
It doesn't seem to have any relation to any specific MK. Here's a photo of the panel I'm referring to. Out of curiosity does anyone else have any more info?

Interesting - not just the missing bits but also what the texture represents inside the wheel well!

Removing the fairing at the back of the wheel well? It could prevent a but up of dust/sand after ground manoeuvring? The texture could represent some kind of ventilation up towards the cockpit, but then again, the back of the wheel well is fairly adjacent to the mainspar.
