There's an improvement, to some degree. PCAviator has a new Madeira X (version 120?) that says it's for FSX, FSX:SE, and Prepar3d V1-V2.

So I downloaded it (PCAviator is where I had originally bought it) and gave it a try.
The installer took my old ID & serial/registration number. It then let me choose the Prepar3d V3 directory and proceeded to install without any problems.
When I ran P3d V3 and started the flight in LPMA I saw the standard Orbx scenery. MAJOR disappointment.
Checked the Aerosoft folder. Everything looks to be there.
Figuring that the installer didn't know anything about V3, I pointed the scenery selector towards the Aerosoft/Maderia X folder and did a manual install.
Perfect! There was.
Day (Takeoff)

And night

It's not 100% though.
The island its self is better than ever, with many new scenery objects. But the airport has a few imperfections.
For one thing, it's very touchy about the elevations. I have it high on the scenery list and at least the runway is flat.
The support columns at the end of the runway aren't there. Just take off & don't look in that direction.
Other than that, Madeira X is a pleasure to fly.
If they fix the airport, I'd call it a great buy. And if Madeira is a place that you'd like to retire to then get it anyway. Love it!
