Hello Chums!

With my ever-endearing love of small GA Piston Props, like my delicious Cessna 150's and 152's, the one aircraft that I always miss in my FSX, is the Default Cessna 182RG from my FS 2002!... ...!

A wonderful speedy model, which was never carried over to FS 2004, and never works in FSX!!

The examples shown here is my FS 2002 Default Cessna 182RG installed into my FS 2004.
...its the only way I can fly it!

Jack up that comical, highly animated undercarriage, and she becomes a very slippery aircraft, capable of quite high speeds!

FS 2004, with added Ultimate Terrain USA...plus some extra, mouth-watering goodies!....>>>>

Fuelling up at Livermore KVLK, Beefburger in hand, and being admired by the waiting passengers!

...and off to South County Airport. South Bay...(don't forget to raise the undercarriage!)

I suspect that Cessna discontinued her, a while ago, due to the cost of the complication and maintenance of that intricate undercarriage!

What we need, is a FSX, FREEWARE version of the Default. FS 2002, Cessna 182RG Skylane!

How about it...designer chums?.... ;) ...!

Paul...having loadsa fun with FS 2002, FS 2004, and FSX!... ...!

Note: The Carenado C182RG version is.....PAYWARE.....(eg: Loadsamoney!).... ...!

Nicely done on the set Paul...  ;)

When Cessna came out with the Cessna 336 (Fixed Gear) and Cessna 337 (Retractable Gear) the C-337 Gear would not always extend and a Johnny Bar had to be used to prop the gear down.

Eventually that problem was fixed...trying to remember what the problem was with the C-182RG :?:

I am with you on the Freeware Development for Microsoft FSX/Windows 10... ;)

Paul, there's no reason you can't get that Carenado C182RG free.

I've got the Carenado C182RG and it is great. One of my favorites. However, watch for their sales and you can save "lottabucks". I think I got this one on sale for $6

Fly happy,

Regards,
Jim

Many thanks, Chaps... :D ...!

I have always recommended FS 2004 to anyone with a lowly Computer specification who is struggling, or likely to struggle, to get their FSX running smoothly, or at all!

FS 2004 places little demands on the computer, (central processor), and most graphics cards can handle it nicely!

...and, of course, there is loadsa freeware stuff out there to make the whole experience very enjoyable!

It took a major, expensive upgrade, (i-7 processor, etc), to get my FSX running sweetly, so good-old FS 2004 is still an excellent alternative!

I love my FSX now, but my FS 2004 with all its add-on bits and bobs is always at hand on my HDD to take me back into the past!.... :D ...!

Paul....FS '98, (FS 2000), FS 2002, FS 2004, FSX...and CFS 2!.... ...!
