Orcas Island - KORS. Sky on fire.

Postby OldAirmail » Sun Nov 08, 2015 11:12 am

I started this flight and then shrank it down while waiting on the runway without pausing it.

When I went back to it, I was more than pleased.

DHC-3 at KORS near sunset, runway 34.

FTX Global, FTX Pacific Northwest, OpusFSI.

The first shot was accidently saved in GIF format. But it looks artistic, so I've included it. :D

While in the area, NW, over Mayne, I switched to a Blackhawk helicopter.

No particular reason. It just looked like a helicopter kind of area.

Thanks, Shadowcaster.

Those colors are different from what I normally use, and I just realized where they came from.

Having recently switched from Prepar3d V2.5 to V3, I have a number of old programs that I haven't tried to use with Prepar3d V3.

Last week I tried REX Essential Plus Overdrive to see if it'd work. All that it needed was to be redirected to the V3 location and it all worked.

I hadn't made any changes, or so I thought. But obviously Rex did.

If anyone likes the sunset skys in my pictures, you now know where they came from.

Nicely done on the set... <<q

I use RES Essential Plus Overdrive with FSX/Acceleration when I get a chance to do a simulated flight...I need to Retire from Retirement to have some Free Time On My Hands...

See you are getting a goodly amount of use out of those DeHaviland of Canada DHC-3 "Otters"...Great aeroplane...is still my favourite aircraft to fly in the Real World...

Wonder what the "X Plane" DeHaviland of Canada DHC-3 "Otter" has different from the FSX Version...I know it came out sooner... ;)
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Far out man! As Jimi would have said "Purple haze, all in my brain. Lately things they don't seem the same. Actin' funny, but I don't know why. Excuse me while I kiss the sky." O0

Great Shots OAM!

If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
