I use Rex Essential plus overdrive for the weather. Is there something better on this moment?

I use REX Essential Plus Overdrive and Rex Soft Clouds for additional textures.

Rex Soft Clouds is actually on sale until Nov. 6th. - EUR 4.50.

It has different cloud textures than REX Essential, so give it a try. And it pretty cheap on sale. :D

For the actual weather in FSX & Prepar3d I use OpusFSI

Others prefer ActiveSkyNext.

Both have a full demo. Give them a try. They both will use whatever cloud texture you have, and are pretty fast.

Yes, I have agree with OldAirmail.

I have both LM Prepar3Dv3 & FSX-SE on my PC (on different drives) using Rex4 Textures Direct + Soft Clouds and Opus FSI as my preferred weather engine.
For me, that's a marriage made in heaven in my flight sim world !
I tried Active Sky Next which is very good, but Opus Combines three or more programs into one, so better value in my very humble opinion.
I particularly like the Dynamic head movements or virtual cockpit camera shake that you also get with Opus, plus the Live Camera Control.
After some 16 years in this hobby, I think that's as good as it's going to get now.
Whoops, nearly forgot to mention Orbx scenery as well, you've got to have that as the icing on the cake with the cherry on the top. :D :D
Happy Days.
