Finally...it took awhile

Postby Flying Trucker » Wed Oct 21, 2015 6:19 pm

Good evening everyone... ;)

It took awhile but I finally got this electronic gizmo to work again, problems with Windows 10 and some other programs, but it seems to be working now.

Started Microsoft FSX/Acceleration and found several confusing problems which are still not rectified.
-I can not take pictures of a simulated flight in Full Screen Mode...weird I could do that in Windows 7

Here is what I am using to-date...

Microsoft FSX/Acceleration and Windows 10
Display
-Intel (R) HD Graphics 4600 [Display Adapter]
-Nvidia GeForce GTX 580

REX Essential Plus Overdrive
FSWC...Flight Simulator Water Configurator set to Steve's Favorites
ORBX USA Canada
-Pacific Northwest and Pacific Fjords
Flight 1 Ground Environment X USA/Canada/Alaska
Flight 1 Ultimate Terrain Canada

FRAPS was set to 25

Used Bojote's Tweaking and Tuning Tool

Can not remember what setting FSX is set to...Bilinear...Trilinear...or Anistropic Filtering...any suggestions would be nice... ;)

Flight Sim Panel Studio was used to change the Horizontal Situation Indicator in the simulated aircraft

Virtualcol Dehaviland of Canada DHC-3 "Amphibious Otter" with Patch
Simulated Aircraft should really have an Upper and Lower Rotating Beacon

You could use snapshot 4 http://simviation.com/1/download-file?f ... leId=27692 until you find a solution. Sorry can't help you with windows 10 but I have found tweaking cfg files unnecessary and a waste of time on modern computers and could be the cause of many peoples problems. FS9 and FSX GOLD work just fine for me with everything mostly maxed out except traffic as I like to get off the ground and not get stuck behind a long line of traffic, on a mediocre laptop W7 4gbram works very well and even better for some reason when using hdmi output to the tv running both screens.

Hope this helps Dave.
