Shupe's Harpoon

Postby GlobalHobo » Tue Aug 25, 2015 9:39 am

This is the FS9 version of Milton Shupe's latest. There's also a port-over to FSX of the same package.

The only thing I might add are some depth-charges or torpedoes in the bomb-bay.

The Farallon Islands, just off Golden Gate Bridge in the Pacific Ocean?

A frequent tour for me in my FSX, including Point Reyes!

...and the Aircraft Carrier located in the same area!

VERY nice. Very nice indeed.

If those pictures are from FS9, then I can see why so many still like it.

You've got me sold, I'm downloading it now.

After that, I'll download the civilian textures.

No where as good as your pictures, but the Harpoon works just fine in Prepar3d.

Thank you.

Hello Hobo!... :D ....!

Not exactly EVERYWHERE, but mostly in California, and the surrounding States, where its nice and warm..and sandy...and Joshua trees*!... .....!

I cant remember where I downloaded the "Farallon Islands" scenery from, but its certainly worth having for aficionados of USA Pacific West scenery (like me)!
Its the latest version with the Lighthouse and Landing pad.
I think it was for FS 2002/FS 2004 but works fine in FSX!

Yeah, I still enjoy FS9 a lot, though I'm getting more comfortable with FSX. BTW, nice Harpoon you've got there. :) I an a Milton Shupe fan. And Manfred Jahn's Gooney Birds are a big reason why I finally made the move to FSX.

I never thought to try FS9 scenery directly in FSX. I thought it had to undergo some conversion process. Part of my reluctance to give up FS9 is that I have so many cool sceneries. I hate to give them up. Like the very pretty Bay Area Bridges which replaced the abysmal Microsoft versions.

I remember once seeing Paul standing on the Balcony next to the Pope overlooking St.Peter's square. The crowds were incredulous, They cried out "Who's that with Paul?"

He's been everywhere man. :liar:

Much, if not most, of my FSX stuff is from FS 2002 and FS 2004, and it all works fine!
