Something Is Rotten in Florida

I don't know why, but this now exists . . . found about 30 miles south of Miami on Key Largo. This is the left-hand window, and out the right is where Highway 1 hits Largo. Just . . . drive on off the edge folks . . .

And on a side note: the really long bridge (7 Mile?) has a missing section. Just . . . gone. Is this realistic or a flub by M$?

FS9, the original version, lacked a lot of bridges, or some were just not well done. MS released an update correcting and improving a very lot of them, New York City is one example, but they really screwed up Miami and the Keys with misplaced or imaginary bridges. I live in Miami, I've been down to Key West many times, and it's too bad, but that's life in the flight sim world.

When I get home I'll check out the 7 mile bridge on FS9, I don't recall a missing section, but I might have missed it.

The drive down to Key West is really spectacular, with the Atlantic on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. It's also a dangerous trip, gotta be wide awake. It's the jerks who can't wait for the passing zones (some parts of the drive are 4 lane now) to pass. The best drive I ever took was Memorial Day weekend 1991, we wisely waited until just before sundown to drive back to Miami, by then the road was almost empty.
