Having just watched an episode "Unsolved Mysteries" on "CBS Reality TV", regarding a body found in the Russian River, I decided to explore the area in great detail, and learn its fascinating history!

Being very familiar with that river during my many Sim Flights in the Sonoma and Napa Valleys in Northern California, I took a sim flight from Healdsburg Airfield (O31) in my Cessna 150 Aerobat, and headed along the river, following Highway 101 towards Santa Rosa Airport (KSTS).
Turned right and kept following the beautiful scenery along the Russian River Valley, heading for the Pacific Ocean....>>>

..and the final estuary, emptying into the Pacific Ocean, with highway 1 hugging the shore-line!...>>>

The River is very popular with the locals, and visitors to the area, and all sorts of festivals are held there!...>>>> http://www.russianriver.com/site/cms/pa ... vities.php

The Coastal Route of Highway 1, north and south, makes for a exciting route to travel, on both two, three, and four wheels..(You Tube)!

A wonderful journey!

Paul...enjoying the delights of California!... ...!

Many thanks, Doug!

As well as Route 66 from Albuquerque to Barstow, Highway 1 Coastal Route is one of my favourite road trips on the ground, and in the air!

Some wonderful scenery along the way!

...also some awesome breath-taking scenery in South-Western Utah!

A wonderful ride on a Harley!...>>> http://www.lonelyplanet.com/usa/southwe ... stern-utah

I love exploring!
