Not the best weather for sailing, but the wind is at our backs!

Yup! After seeing your screenies in the "edited" topic, I might eventually get P3D. But the ship is great!

I also used OpusFSI to move below decks, VERY simple.

I was surprised to see that Milton had included that. :D

Actually I had both the lower deck and hold deck well appointed but had to strip out most of it due to poly and parts limits being reached. :-/

When I started out animating the 14 sails requiring 10 positions and 140 clew lines, I had to start paring back on what I had built sadly.
It's amazing how fast those parts add up. For example, there are 100 dead-eyes, 258 standing/running rigging lines, and although you see 14 sails, there are actually 40 of them waiting to be displayed at various times.

OP: Great screen shots; thanks for sharing them. :-)

I understand about the line, sheets, etc.

A very long time ago I carved a wooden model of the Golden Hind.

For the most part I dislike the representation of rain in FSX/P3d.

But with your craft, the rain goes very well. Especially from the deck looking out.

Thanks again. :D

pardon my ignorance, but how do you change the wind speed is there a simple way?...would be nice to control it with the throttle control ....ha...my rudder works in reverse from the aircraft...not read manual yet...will have to check it out........what a great job on the ship.....

You must go to World/Weather/User Control/Customize Weather then the Wind tab.

Then set Wind speed and Gusts speed.

Of course you can also set cloud cover, precipitation, turbulence, etc.

RE: Rudder: how are you activating rudder. It works the same as an aircraft whether using rudder pedals, twist joystick, or keys. It should also work with Auto Coordination on.
