The Aero Commander was recently brought up, and I haven't flown it since Las Vegas, so I figured that it was time to dust it off.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .So here we go again.

Nice shots OldAirmail.

At first I could not figure why Concrete looked so different.
It is because I have the ORBX Airport and town.

All the best.

Anthin. :o

I have it too, but earlier today I was flying in Wales and forgot to switch it back.

Anyway, this is what "standard" Orbx: Global Looks like. :D

And This is what it looks like with Orbx Northern Rocky Mountains.

Thanks my Friend, It sure as hell does not not
look like Wales

I have done this a few times and have come up with some really
weird results.

I have to double check FSX Central every time I fly.

All the best

Anthin.

Sadly, one of the best effects - the sky full of clouds, simply looks all gray. At best it looks a little blotchy. :(

At full size across two screens, there's a layered look.

The distance between the mountains can easily be seen due to the progressively thicker layer of the clouds.

Picture four shows that the best.

The panorama of wide mountains & valleys, while very satisfying as I flew, simply looks dull and uninteresting with heavy static clouds.

These pictures were made with real weather, and the shifting clouds made it a treat to fly.

As I went directly over the "hump" to Concrete, WA there were always more mountains and valleys coming into view.

But the pictures just don't match the experience.

Next time I'll either use a single screen, or thin out the clouds.

Believe me however, the "real" flight was MUCH better than these pictures can convey.
