Very nice Doug. Brings back a lot of good memories. Growing up
in Ontario ( Alderwood), I had a best friend whose family had a
cottage on Pigeon lake . Wonderful memories for a young Irish
boy.

Miss Canada a lot.

Regards Anthin.

.... ... ...!

Do you know what, Doug.... ;) ....

I reckon that you "Northern-Clime Blokes" must be as hard as nails!
I've just arrived back from a Sunday, 70-mile round trip on my Motorbike, and my Private Parts have shrivelled up with the cold, even having donned myself up with my Winter-woolly Long Johns and Vest and all my Motorcycle gear!
I watch the TV series; "Flying Wild in Alaska", and how all those people who live there, cope with the frigid conditions, beats me!
Maybe they have no other choice, but I don't think that I could survive it for long..if at all!.... ....!
...and even Canada is far too close to the North Pole for my liking!
As a warm-blooded creature...I like to keep my blood as warm as possible!... :D ...!

Like a Butterfly...I need warm sunshine...

...and Sim Flights around Southern California, Arizona, and New Mexico, amongst Palm Trees and Cacti....... ...!

Paul....Slowly Defrosting.... ...!

Ohhh, don't be fooled Paul! :naughty:

During my years working out at the Yuma Aerostat Site, 1 hour each way, on my bike every day I could (360 days a year!), I saw every kind of temperature range you could imagine! I saw days of over 123°F in the shade (not much shade riding a motorcycle on Arizona Highways!) all the way to days I'd have to scrape the frost off my windscreen before I could ride out to work! On those days, I'd get to work looking somewhat like the Michelin Tire Man I was wearing so much clothing. And I'd still have to warm up over the engine of the bike when I arrived! Only then could I waddle into the buildings to warm up over a cup of coffee..took me 10 min to undress to the point I looked like a human again! And could bring my hands to my face to get the coffee cup there! Otherwise, too many layers prevented much other than a "riding my motorcycle" shape to my poor, frozen bod...
Heck, when I hit the bloody (poor word choice there?? ;) ) horse, it was the Monday before Thanksgiving, ie: end of November. Naturally, when the paramedics finally arrived (almost 30 min, even with lights and siren going :o :| ) the first thing they wanted to do was cut all my nice warm clothing off! I finally managed to talk them into just certain portions. And I was STILL freezing cold before they got me into the Ambulance!

So don't think that just because you are around Southern Arizona it's always warm! Sometimes, yes, always? NO!! I like "warm" too, but trust me, Arizona, at least, aint the right choice. It's either HOT, or COLD! Very seldom "comfortable".

OH! By the way, great pictures, Doug! Long as I don't have to BE in the cold :naughty: , I can appreciate PICTURES of it  If I do, give me a nice jet aircraft! Bleed Air is a very very warm substance indeed!! If nothing else, the exhaust is a nice warm area

Pat☺

I remember the woolen Long Johns. Horrid! I would end up
with red abrasions all over and not to forget the Wellington
rubber boots with tops folded down. Took about an hour to
knock off the ice coating on your foot.

Great memories of freezing Friday nights at the Sir Adam Beck rink
and asking girls to skate with you. BTW,open air rinks in those days.

Fozzer,it currently 37 degrees here. I hate to think what this Summer
will bring.

Hot Regards Anthin.

At first I thought that 37 wasn't too bad, til I realized that's celcius!

Just had a look and saw where your temps do a number flop.....99 for the high, 66 for the low. O0

U4, have just gone outside to check my washing and guess what.
Thermoter showing 41 ! It is supposed to be spring!!!. Over 100 F
at this time of year. What the hell is it going to be like in Jan,Feb
the hottesr times of the year. The Australian Prime Minister still
insists the is no such thing as global warming and climate change.

Very scary summer ahead.

Anthin.
