It is not Winter yet...but...

Good evening all...
Had a hour this evening so did a simulated flight...hope you enjoy...
We had a snow shower today and I got in the spirit of flying off wheel/skis and skis to the point I wore a pair of red Long Johns with the trap door in the rear to try and make things a little more realistic for myself...heck this electronic gizmo never even noticed...

Winter is December 21st but snow has already fallen in many areas but the lakes, bays, rivers and ponds in this immediate area are still not frozen over...
This is what makes a Flight Simulator useful as we can program in the different seasons and water settings no matter what time of year it is...
FSX and Windows 7
ORBX weather
Flight 1 Ultimate TerrainX Canada
Flight 1 Ground EnvironmentX USA Canada Alaska
Aircraft: Carenado Cessna 185F
Livery is a Repaint
Season:Winter and Time is early morning just past Dawn
I still can not get Frozen Water (ICE) to look right on this electronic gizmo...
I added one hundred and fifty pounds (150lbs) survival equipment along with my own weight for payload...
Climbing out from a Precautionary Approach and a Visual Inspection of the landing area...

Circling around for the Approach to land...

Lots of small islands at my six o'clock position to build a Two Holer Outhouse and pitch a Winter tent...

On Approach...will use that small island at eleven o'clock as a reference point...

This is my third touch and go...practice makes perfect...do I need practice...

It is wonderful to find a lake and some airspace free of other traffic to do some training...

Front Office of the C185F

Comments and advice most welcome...
