Hi Kurt...nice set... <<q

There are several Mountain Flying Courses and Seminars that a Licensed Aviator can attend.

Usually with their own aircraft.

Like the Bush Flying and Survival Courses (several) they are worth the time and expense to add to one's Flying Permit.

Have flown above and between the Rocky Mountains many times in various aircraft, single and multi engine. A very enjoyable experience.

Again nice set Kurt... ;)

Nice shots. :)

It's my favourite flying area, I usually start at Sion. When I was flying FSX I rebuilt a few of the Alpine airports, Sion, Wangen Lachen, Interlaken, Reichenbach and Bex Aerodrome. I used mainly stock buildings although I did construct one or two custom ones. Unfortunately they don't all work that well with P3D.

Nice flight, great plane. :D

My favorite flight in the area is from LSTS to Geneva in an aircraft just barely powerful enough to do the job (keeps you awake :D ).

Thanks freinds :D

@Doug. I have been thinking of downloading the Rocky Mountains! Which one do you use?

@G.K. As you prob know, i'm following everything concerning P3D. Has those problems anything to do with different textures or...?

@Rich. Next time i will try a less powerful ac, i love it, but i do prefer the F4U atm when i need a quick start/flight with lots of fuel. Compared with P51, Spitfire or P47 it dont need the startup procedure (which i surely wont miss when not in a hurry)

The problems with my already made (using ADE) airports are with taxiways not showing. I believe this problem has been fixed by the ADE bods but I haven't installed the latest ADE yet on my newish machine.

Flight simmers are inveterate tweakers, me included up until now. Most of the current issues reported with P3D V2.3 seem to be where unsupported addons have been installed or ill advised tweaks have been applied. I did have Orbx England installed but for some reason it ruined Autogen buildings in the Alps (funnily enough), I had buildings popping up on the side of cliffs. I have since reinstalled a vanilla P3d and I'll not introduce addons until the P3d development has settled down and addon designers have had a chance to adapt and patch. Vanilla P3d runs perfectly well on my machine, much better looking than FSX, cloud shadows and volumetric fog look particularly sweet. The only cfg tweak I've applied is to sort my old Saitek x45 out, the response curve was terrible without it. I also had the issue with FSX.

Back to the Alpine flights:
Your shots reminded me of a fantastic holiday we had in Switzerland when our kids were still at home, it is one of the most beautiful places on earth imo.......it would be good to see some photo real scenery of the big peaks......Eiger, Jungfrau, Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Monte Rosa.

Hey Bass, if you start to fly over the Alps, then you might want to check that little link in my signature ;)

That "lclookup.bgl" will tranform your snowy mountains.

Bass,
Beautiful shots! Love the snow!
Dino's T45 is one of my favorite aircraft, well actually I have a lot of "favorite" aircraft, but I learned carrier traps in the T45. Crashed waaaay too many of them!
Thanks for sharing!
