Highlights of Sundays open bar tour taking off form KEUG heading east for 50 or 60 miles!

Did I mention this was an open bar tour? By the time we arrived at our destination half the passengers were asleep.

Of course we do hand out complementary Alka Seltzer at the end of our tours!

Beautiful. They have a misty/mysterious feel, like some of the early days of color movies. :clap: :clap: :clap:

But what is the scenery that you're flying over?

I have the Orbx Pacific Northwest, Northern Rocky Mountain, and the Central Rocky Mountain scenery.

NOTHING that looks like that!

Sweet shots, Greg O0

Constructive criticism? Looks a little over saturated. Maybe it's just me or my moniter settings :? ;)

@OAM......I believe it's Three Sisters in Oregon....judging by the title. It should be in the scenery you have. Either PNW or CRM.....can't remember which :oops:
Take off from 00S or if you're feeling adventurous.....try XTCH. Then look for big ass mountains. You can't miss 'em ;)

It is a beautiful area.

Does this scenery include Smith Rock & the ravines around Madras?

We have a lot of ravines around here...my boss has flown under a few bridges over them!

Central Oregon is a spectacular place to fly around.

Thanks MR Skunkworks & MR Chuck.

They are there, just as promised, and even more dramatic in "real life" FSX/P3d.

Most of the Orbx North American areas, that I have so far, seem to be a simple cut above the standard FTX Global.

The Orbx UK, Scotland, Australia, and Wales packages were dramatic improvements.

Then too, I've spent little time in the North West US & Canada areas.

Again, thanks to the both of you.

Thank you everyone for looking and the warm comments!

This is ORBX PNW scenery. I think it's four or five years old now! For larger aircraft use KEUG and head east. The three sisters and little brother peaks are

close to the eastern edge where ORBX meets FSX Default! For smaller planes take of from 8S3 and head south. It has a wonderful sloping grass runway!

Chuck the colors are produced from Shade 1.2. Hundreds of presets to choose from. This particular theme, the mid day colors are very natural but later in the day, pre-dusk the iron and sulfur around these cascades just pop!

The gold tone of the aircraft is something I didn't like at first but now I do, plus it makes good dusk/dawn colors! I guess my old triple monitor setup was so washed out colorwise

I may be over compensating :think: The new 47 inch monitor colors, from my end, make FSX look more real than it ever has! I'll have to experiment (YAY) to see if I can come up with a better theme!

Thanks Chuck for your input, much appreciated!!!

Happy flying,

Greg

:D

Nicely done, Greg :clap:

Well, i'm having some problems with my reinstallation of SweetFX. Simply can't get any controls to work!

Thank you for looking Kurt and the warm comment!

As far as sweetfx, newer versions sometimes do not have the same on/off and insertion hot keys. Mine are ScrLk to turn on and off. Pause to insert changes. These can be different and for the life of me I can't remember where to change or check these settings...I'll get back to you!!!

Kurt it's found in the injector.ini

[injector]
; See the following URL to find out what keycode a key has:
; http://www.cambiaresearch.com/articles/ ... -key-codes

;toggle shader keycode
key_toggle = 145 ; 145 = the SCROLL_LOCK key

;make screenshot keycode
key_screenshot = 44 ; 44 = PRINTSCREEN

;reload shader files keycode
key_reload = 19 ; 19 = the PAUSE key

Chuck! Check out the shot below. Same day (mid day), same flight just east of Eugene. Same Shade Theme, but I toned down the saturation in SweetFx!
Your Opinion is well appreciated!!

Ok Greg.
That is one of the problems. Newer keyboards (over here) dont have that very old ScrLK!!, and being not able to get into any controls, i cant change anything like that, or can i?
What i dont understand is, why on earth didn't the maker(s) put in a seperate folder with control actions to be installed along with SweetFX and Shaders :think:

Note.
Ok, just saw your edit. Will have a closer look on that .ini

Kurt, in your main FSX folder just a little way down from FSX.EXE you will find the injector.ini. Double click and it should open in note pad. Follow the URl to theJava Keyboard codes and change the codes to any keys that are available, e.g., 45 would be your Insert key on your keyboard.
