Thank you for the kind compliment Ark!
These are my V (Raw shot) specs :

FSX DX10
PNW 11S
Milviz Mig Killer
My own sweetfx 1.5 cfg, which I'll gladly share.
Antique computer, because my wife put me on a budget after tripping over the three monitors that I ditched for my one BIG LCD, in my man cave/computer room/library!

Hahahahaha, wifes are a dangerous enemy for simmers :D, I suffer the siege too my friend.

I am trying to customice my .cfg but without good results. I´m ready to receive further instructions for doing properly.

Very nice shots of the F-86, your PC does the aircraft and scenery justice. What are you using for a PC if I may ask, and video card. I'm in the market as it were, been reading and researching the past week narrowing the field down to a few Desktops 128 Gigs of ram, and video card(s) Triple SLI set-up. Will run SLI 2-way for now using PNY GTX 780 Ti cards (possible Titan Black cards) If they ever make 4K rendering easy for a 4K monitor without all the hassle to set up for a 60 Hz refresh rate, then a 4K monitor next year.

Ark, I feel your pain! Been at FSX for seven years. My best advice for config tweaks is LESS is better! Paul J over at sim outhouse has a very good "How To" guide...you might want to start there!

All my best,
Greg

Thank you for the kind words!
As far as my PC.
i7 990x OC'd to 4.7 on air
Asus P6T SE mainboard that is very slow
12 gigs of Gskill 1600 ram
EVGA GTX 660 superclocked GPU
2 HDD's WD Blacks 640/1TB dedicated to FSX
DX10 with Steve Parson's DX10 fixer

A new build for FSX is very subjective! Faster CPU, GTX 780ti, low latency RAM! Will get you were you want to go...Titans?...maybe...FSX will not benefit from SLI or Crossfire as far as I know!

Safe and happy flying!!!

Nothing really benefits or justifies an SLI or Crossfire set up when a single monitor is used, I agree with that. Possible here is higher Sceen resolution 2048 x 1536 and/or higher, and going Ultra High Definition monitor (not a 4K monitor), then a SLI or Crossfire would benefit a person when it comes to fps I would imagine with FSX, or with any game for that matter.

One good high end card and an i7 (although the i7 990X 3.46 GHz w/ max Turbo 3.73GHz doesn't seem all that shabby) will go along way for sure, with just about anything you would game on a single monitor. Again you have some really nice looking pic's you shared, thanks. I noticed your motherboard doesn't support SLI nVidia, just Crossfire ATI.

Myself I'm always thinking of the future of gaming, where it is at now, and where will we all be in 5 years from now. SSD's to me were just the tip of the iceberg to start transfering data at miraculous speeds (and no moving parts to wear out, just HDD fans to keep them cool). Prices have come way down from what I've seen. Someday maybe we'll have computers where Latency will be no problem.

Thanks for sharing your specs. really appreciated, and your pic's gave me a benchmark to look at :)

One Q.
Is it Parson's DX10 fixer v.3.2.2, or is it his new payware release, you're using?

Love that third shot , I just might use that as a screen saver. And adding a thought for the day. "A bad day flying beats a good week at work." <<s <<u
