Looking fantastic, G.K... ...!

Illustrates the vital importance of including; "objects/aircraft cast shadows" in the screen shots!

Paul...a mere shadow of my former self!.... :D ...!

Wreck ya Vic?.... :o .... ....!

Indeed Fozzer and thank you Flying Trucker...

I'll be honest and say that on my rig objects casting shadows is fine for a screenie. For everyday flying I don't have that switched on, too much of a FPS hit.

The only shadows I usually fly with are aircraft casts shadow on self and Aircraft casts shadow on ground......I have a GT640 but I shall be pairing that up with a heftier graphics card soon. I repaired the next door neighbours front path, I've earmarked the £190 they owe me for it.

Great shot O0

I use "aircraft casts shadow on ground", but I don't use "aircraft casts shadow on itself". The shadow is too ridgid and unrealistic and most models "self shadow" much more realistically. Also I don't use object shadows in FSX because they look like crap. VERY unrealistic......flickering in and out and being the wrong shape for the object that is casting it.
Most quality scenery add-ons like OrbX have the appearance of ground shadows textured into the scenery and it looks MUCH better with zero FPS loss.

Hopefully P3D shadows are an improvement.
