This is not a contest of course, but if you want to add your own "Seven Continents" pictures, I think that that would be great. Just let us know, roughly where, and on what continent.

The Adirondacks is, probably the only one that most may not recognize. But I used to do a lot of backpacking up there, and I loved it.

McMurdo Station. Well, very few will recognize that one too. Me included. But I'm sure that most people will recognize the name.

Thanks. It took a while to get the planes into the right position.

I didn't use slew commands. What would be the fun of that?

The first one, with the Kaydet, is a retread. I took it to show how much better FSX looks with Opus FX. That's my favorite in this set.

It's a perfect demonstration of atmospheric haze making the distant mountains progressively more indistinct.



Finding a place on each continent is both easy and hard. Easy, because there are so many well recognized landmarks on each continent. Hard, because not all of those landmarks are included in FSX.

But when I say "hard", I don't mean that it wasn't fun looking for some of them. You still get to fly to places that you've never been to before.

Some of the easy ones, like the pyramids or the Eiffel Tower, I left for any others who might want to create their own "Seven Continents" shots.

For me that is the fun of flight simulators, being able to visit places across the globe.......Kinda like a elaborate google I think you did a wonderful job here....

I'm hoping that others will do even better.

Aside from Orbx FTX, I only have one bit of payware scenery, MadeiraX.

REX Essentials & Opus FSX have, of course, contributed to the (forgive the pun) atmosphere.

You are giving me some great ideas and hopefully will get around to firing up the simulator game today.

Don't get very far right now with by foot in a cast until the middle of December...

It is too bad about the delay caused by the foot. But I'm sure that the delay will just make your selections all the better.

And don't think for a moment that it only took me a few hours to set up those shots.

As I said before, just finding the locations that I wanted took a bit of thought, and preparation.


And although I didn't use the slew commands, I did use jet fighters to quickly scout out my selections. After that I flew in circles around my targets until I had a set of shots that I liked.

It really was fun.

Not yet, but i'm thinking about it.......

Well, it took me more than a week to decide just what I wanted.

Coming up with the choices for North and South Americas took the longest.


Antarctica could be a bit of a stumbler though. Luckily, I found the McMurdo Station download.

But there are some other options for the Antarctic. I'll leave those choice blank for now. But I'll just say that there are some good possibilities.
