Any comp this month? getting a little tiresome of simviation forums less posts every month Not much input in the board index from members these days or is it just me? I love you guys HIC!!

Regarding to see that....................

A person clicks on the avatar and the mystery is over to who posted the screenshot. Then they still post their name on the bottom of the post. It was an excellant attempt, you really worked hard on it Chuck79 and the effort was appreciated. I thank you.

Yeah, I noticed that too......oh well, we'll keep trying in the coming months. Until then let's just make the best of the situation

Quick question, why are we trying to make the submissions anonymous?

Because in all forums there tends to be a cliquiness and this forum is no exception. People tend to pay attention to those they know more than those who post only occasionally.

Anon posting will hopefully avoid that. Hense a more level playing field.

A while ago i commented that it would require some very clever scripts.
Actually based on many years as an IT manager I am not sure if it is at all possible.
I still think the anonymous posting is a very valuable goal, based on what i have seen in forums
(and as has been commented on already), but i think the only way is to send it to a Mod who posts it under his own name
while giving the post a number. As this will involve more work for the Mods, I think it is you guys who should
decide on this. but i doubt it will be possible to automate.

There is another simple way which is that people log in as one single user to post their pics.
A default contest user. But the question is then how much abuse this could generate (folks will abuse this unless.....) and whether this one user could be
limited to the single 'screen contest' topic.

Another direction you could travel in is ID substitution.
For example, is it possible to force the ID to a default ID if posted anonymously?
