One of my daily delights in the flight Sim, is exploring the sites on many Cowboy, etc, Hollywood Films; filmed in and around California!

Owens Valley; containing Lone Pine, Independence, Bishop, and Yosemite.

The route can be travelled from Palm Springs, to Reno and Carson City....(Highway 395).

Lots of Desert Scenery, (and dead cowboys, thieves, murders, rapists, escaped criminals!)... :o ...!

The location:

And Film details!

Paul.....FS 2004, FS Navigator, UT USA, VOZ 1.8, Plan-G v2.0.5...a six-shooter, a Stetson hat, and a very big bottle of water!

P.S....watch out for Rattle Snakes!.... ...!

P.P.S...Don't forget; "Fozzer's Tours" can take you to all these exciting places!... :D ...!

Goodly morning Paul... :)

Here you go Paul...next time you are flying over the bad lands...sing this to yourself.... <<q

I'm back in the saddle again
Out where a friend is a friend
Where the longhorn cattle feed
On the lowly gypsum weed
Back in the saddle again

Ridin' the range once more
Totin' my old 44
Where you sleep out every night
And the only law is right
Back in the saddle again

Whoopi-ty-aye-oh
Rockin' to and fro
Back in the saddle again
Whoopi-ty-aye-yay
I go my way

Hello Yan... :D ...

I think they rely very much of melt-water from the nearby mountain streams and reservoirs, and their own irrigation systems.

...I don't know where all the Poo goes?.... ...!

Just have a think about "Las Vegas" water problems, etc, etc...slap-bang in the middle of the Nevada Desert!

For some folks, it must be an awful life, stranded in a one-horse town, in the middle of a desert!

(Any Sim V members in that particular boat?)... ...!

Paul.... ...!

Fozzer, this is a sad but true story.

Back in 2001/02 I was talking to a co-worker who was somewhere in his early to mid 30s.

I had heard that (at the time) many teens and even collage grads had little understanding about world history.

So I asked him a REALLY dumb question that would be hard for a fairly intelligent fellow to miss.

"Mike, during WWII who’s side were the Germans on, our side or the enemies side?"

My opinion of him dropped about 40 points when he answered that the Germans were on our side.

Luckily, what I did in SAC was nothing. And nothing happened.
