In preparation for this year's wildfire season the lookout towers need to be inspected and resupplied. Today I checked two towers in the Mt. Baker National Forest near Lake Chelan, WA. Tomorrow we'll bring up some more supplies by slingload O0

In the air after departing from Stehekin State.......

The first tower is called Miner's Ridge

Whoa.....this landing platform could use some repairs.

Off to the next one......Glacier Peak in the background.

Well, my next stop is down in those clouds and I'm not goin' down there 'til they go away.

Finally a break in the clouds....pickin' up a Forest Service employee here at Green Mountain Fire Tower who has been making repairs.

Wow Chuck... <<u

Your sets just keep getting better and better.

Helicopters...real flying machines...up...down...forward...backward and sideways

No wonder three of our children love them more than Fix Wing.... :flags-canada:

However if they had to pay for the fuel the kids would go bare...well you know....

I do love some of the conversations between our children/grandchildren around the kitchen table between those that fly both Rotary Wing and Fixed Wing and those who only fly Fixed Wing.

Of course the old girl and I never take sides.... :liar:

Again a great set Chuck... <<q
