Whoopps ~ !!

Well, I had to do it,, at least try it !!

After I updated the CFG File for the Default FSX, Beech King Air 350,,,, and grabbed a few paints for it,,,

it was time to go find those FSX A.I. Carrier's,,, off the french coast, another download I managed to install correctly,,, for once .

I landed the King Air 350 on the 1st try, just barely, been a long time since I did one of these.

Got it parked , engines shut down, and here comes that Navy Admiral wantin to know what the Hell, I thought I was doin Landin on his Carrier

Ughhhh, I told him I was Pappy Boyingtons Son !!!!

it was all I could think of at the time, better than nothing !

Ohhhh Boy - am I in trouble now !!! /

SNAFU - Training !

..I get a similar reaction when I land my little Cessna 150 Aerobat, or my Cosmos Flexwing, at Travis Air Force Base [KSUU] in California, amongst the C 130's....

"What are you doing here, with that little toy?", they enquire..."Go away, and annoy someone else!"... ...!

The thing I really love about the Flight Sims, is that I can drive ATC and the FAA absolutely crazy with my various antics, and there is nothing that they can do about it!... ..... ....!

That's a great repaint for the default 350

That's actually a built in mission, your 208's engine quits and you have to land on a carrier.
Love that paint scheme, where did you find it? I've seen photo's of the real-world plane it depicts.

Well its not a mission I downloaded,,,,,,

as far as the paint for the 350,,,,

I really don't quite remember where I found it,,,, but,,, it may of been over at Flight Sim.Com,,,, its been a while tho,, like 300 downloads ago,,, and my mind is cluttered , I don't remember really,,,,

kinda hard to remember that stuff, when ya got 4,894 Aircraft in your sim,,,, that and i'm gettin old,,, !!!

Out of my handful of mostly default aircraft in my Hangar, I regularly use just one or two of them daily!

..any more would be a waste of space in my Hangar, and on my hard drive!

I know - I know,,,

But I've always wanted to be able to Fly anything I wanted,,, anything, without Question,,,,,,

I have all kinds of aircraft from WW-II aircraft to 1950's aircraft 70's , 80's,, Bi-Wings, Tri-Wings, Vintage propliners, Vintage Screamin Ol' Jetliners, to Heli's, to Bombers, Private Jets,

then I got into painting them,,, and re-working textures and better colors,,,,

which meant more paint programs,,,

also Editing Aircraft & Panel CFG Files,,,,

so in the Winter months mostly,,, thats what I do,,, for hours on End,,, in my warm cozy Flight Sim Room back porch by the Fire place,,, sometimes for hours upon hours on end,,, till 2 or 3 in the morning anyway,,,

sittin around eatin Cinnamon rolls and Warm Apple Cider - and re-paintin Aircraft or trying to fix some quirks with them to make them work in FSX Gold Acceleration,,,

and and somehow I ended up with 4,8?? some odd Aircraft,,, ,, in my FSX,,,,

I keep most of em' in another hanger , about 75% anyway,,, all I have to do is copy & paste the folders back over to the Sim Hanger and Presto' , go Flying,,,

Summer coming on, I won't have as much time to Fly,,, & Tinker,, too much Acreage to mow & take care of, and some house work to do this summer, some painting,, around the windows,,, new roof on the back porch,, new outside lighting,,,

till Next Winter anyway,,,

AHH, but now for the real fun! Ask the Admiral if he'll turn her into the wind and get 40 knots worth of wind down the deck so you can Deck Launch that puppy.
It gives me goose bumps just thinking about it. When I was a squadron puke aboard the U.S.S. America and Ike back in the late 70's & early 80's one of my biggest thrills was watching the ships COD (C-1) deck launch on a sunny day. I'd be standing just aft of the #1 JBD and get a perfect view of the whole run. I can still smell the exhaust as Miss America, or Mamie onboard the Eisenhower, went waddling by. They never looked like they were going fast enough to get airborne even with the head wind.

Alright - I'll try this week,,,, to take off from the deck,,,, but I know whats gonna happen,,,,

I'll probably be Sink-er - ola' rightinto shark infested waters,,,,

maybe a video would be better to show the actual - "SNAFU" ~ !!!

Probably the only way to pull it off (no pun intended) would be to go minimum fuel, no pax or payload, sit on the brakes and go full throttle. At the exact moment you release the brakes scream at the top of your lungs "fly you piece of Sh--!!!" Works for me every time..... but then again I was flying a Helicopter. Oh well, let me know if it works. Good Luck
