Back when I was a 'wee lad' a phone number consisted of an 'exchange name' and numbers.-

Since the '60's, North American phone companies have encouraged fictitious phone numbers be used in movies, tv shows and now even video games. 'KLondike 5' was the name suggested for the fictitious

I'm workin on it,, it ain't too badd to tinker with, I've Tweaked a few things in the panel CFG File and the Aircraft CFG File to make it fly better, this is really a 2002 version. I've re-painted the entire VC passenger Cabin and the VC Cockpit, and swapped prop textures, still have a slight Blurr with the prop textures tho, not to noticeable, but still there at the right angles. This thing is totally different to fly, & land too,, takes sum getting used to, practice,, according to the video I seen on it, its a late 1950's era Aircraft that they spent 4 years trying to develop only to lose out in the end and it was canceled. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9633v6U0wo

More of the Rotordyne at the 1959 Farnborough Airsgow in colour! ...here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1DCyJxHfOo&feature=related

Its fascinating to think how the crowd must have been wow'd by some of the aircraft on show here. And how we still are at things like the vulcan even now. Must have been like seeing things from the future..! And what an aircraft industry we had here in Britian.

"what an aircraft industry we had here in Britian" - Ya and I have had a difficult time trying to get good developers to try and remake the VC-10 & Super VC-10 to the good quality of the likes of Captain Sim's 707's and PMDG's aircraft, haven't heard back from PMDG yet, but Captain Sim thinks nobody would buy it and their afraid to tackle it kinda sort of was their explanation about 10 months ago. I already have a full fleet of VC-10's & super VC10's as well as Bac 11's and hawker sidneys and Tridents and Comets too !!

Indeed, they always seem to avoid the TriStar, VC-10, Trident, BAC 1-11, 747SP and until recently the BAE 146. Why? What is it about these aircraft that they think wont sell?

David Maltby did all the british ones so very well, i wonder how many downloaded them? I know i certainly did. The feeling of supreme pilot skills (sic) when i finally 'landed' the Trident blind on autoland with kick off drift was awesome!!!

Id certainly buy payware versions of them were they the quality of the various developers that we have come to expect and not 'lite' versions. Fully functional all singing all dancing - yes please!

Yup me too if they on the scale of Cap Sim, or PMDG, complete with detailed Virtual Cockpits and passenger cabins and flight dynamics, and not looking like something that came from that Abacus ( Ab sick), bunch with cheesy looking flight sim 98 cockpits and flight dynamicsI'd but a really good VC-10 / Super VC10 , I rank those up there along with the 707's & 727's of the day, why they think nobody will buy the aircraft I have no idea, but I notice they attempt to turn out all kinds of other goofy not so great aircraft that hardly anybody really brags about or has interest in , lotta those out there,, some are getting old by now too, like 3 & 4 years old yet they still want the same price for that stuff, dunno' hopefully one day someone will make a good quality one. till then we'll have to live with what we got, 5 or 10 years from now tho none of these may be available or work with the computers we'll have then, who knows ??
