where's the 21st century or future element? The Learjet 45 first flew in 1995

The theme says: the aircrafts that are still serving in the 21 st century, so...

"This month the focus is on aircraft of the 21st century and beyond"
Btw, did you edit your photo because the shadows not complement the L45?

The DC-3 is still serving today, and that's been buzzing about since the 1930's  =]

It's not edited.
Listen, I put this shot because I think it's not too old and not too futuristic but today it's 21 st century, the theme is about the future so I knew already everybody is going to take shots of F-22,F-117,F-18,....
Respect everyone's choices.

Don't forget the sentence underneath that one

We're looking for your shots to include aircraft that either came into service or are still serving in the 21st century.......or perhaps something from the future??

Surely if it is to include aircraft still serving in the 21st century that then includes virtually every aircraft made since 1940. Kinda means it could be literally anything.

Your shot is fine, LuftwaffeZ14 :)

The photo-real island textures (I think) are what account for the shodows not quite jivin' up.............it doesn't matter what position the sun is actually in. The photos for the textures were taken at a certain time of day, therefore wherever the shadows were at the time the photos were taken is where they'll always be ;)

The reason that we included the "still serving" part was to avoid narrowing it down so much as to dissuade members from entering.......... I don't see any reason that this shot is not acceptable.

Chuck :)

::) ::) ::)Aren't we beating a dead horse here ::) ::) ::)

Again, the point is to keep the theme fairly broad so that we don't have a contest with only 20 entries.
If the shot offends you so much, simply don't vote for it if it makes the finals :-?
