Tribute to Meigs

Postby Jayhawk Jake » Tue Feb 07, 2012 12:17 am

Truly one of the saddest stories in aviation, and one of the worst examples of corrupt politics >:(

So I said screw your park Mr. Daly, this is now my private landing strip ;D

I'm going to Chicago this weekend.  If i get the chance, I'll put a wreath where the runway used to be...   :D

BTW, you did know that the island Meigs was on was actually built for the 1933 World's Fair and later the airport was built there?

I have some add-ons for Meigs... That was the first Airport Flew into on FS2002.

I can't believe I was in Chicago on the waterfront back in 1992 and I never even knew Meigs was there...
