I am re-enacting John Alcock and Arthur Brown's epic flight over the North Atlantic, with the Vikers Vimy. Unfortunatly I didn't think to take any pictures of the take off, I guess I was too busy trying to get the brick into the air. (Lets just say I had a little trouble clearing a few hills, and houses)

But now that I am in the air over the Atlantic, I can take lots of pictures

Those are wonderful shots and I wish you best of luck in your (Long) journey. ;)
But isn't St. John's in Antigua? :-?

Well thankyou :)

And as for your question yes there is a St. Johns in Antigua, but I am referring to the St. Johns in Newfoundland, Canada.  ;)

Well done Michael, great choice of aircraft and Historic Flight also.

The Vickers Vimy was the best for that time period and you must remember there is not one aircraft on any flight simulator from FS98, FS2000, FS2002, FS2004 and FSX that actually represents the true flying characteristics of the aircraft they depict.... :)

We have no snow down our way how about you North Bay folks?... :)

Great to see the Vimy in action - try not to fall asleep on the way and remember to land properly in a bog at the other end - keep searching till you find one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Alcoc ... lifden.jpg
