Exploring the Mediterranean

Postby Jayhawk Jake » Mon Oct 17, 2011 11:01 pm

Now that I flew a lap (sorta) around the US and crossed the Atlantic, I've decided to explore the Mediterranean.  I hopped around Italy a bit from France and I decided to go out towards Portugal and then head back around.

So a few shots from tonights flight from Venice to Marseilles

Departing at sunrise:

Turning over the Mediterranean, messing with your perspective :P

Plane looks good in the morning light :)

Had a perfect landing, but landing screenshots never really work without FS Recorder or other camera apps.  And since I don't currently have any installed and insist on flying more than taking screenshots (for once ;D), I have no pictures.

Instead, shutdown for a day of fun in Marseilles.

Hope you enjoyed, thanks for looking!  Comments welcome as always

Wonderful shots, Jake...

I admire your enthusiasm for branching out abroad, in your flights...
I seem to have been firmly welded to the State of California, (and surrounding area), every day, for the past 15 years, in my flight sims!... :o..!

I really must make some time to go out and explore the rest of the World...sometime... ;)... ;D...!
The majority (all) of my flights involve short, land hops, around local airfields/airstrips, less that 150 miles.
I would worry about things like engines and fuel consumption, (and whether I remembered to bring an inflatable dingy), involving Trans-Atlantic/Trans-Pacific flights!

Paul....Aeroplanes with wheels, and large expanses of water, don't mix very well!... ;D...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

Cool shots! I also like the lighting in some of your shots. My favorite is the last one though.
