Thanks mfaulisi, I like #4 too, but I wish I would have had those afterburners glowing in it....and thanks for the tech tips Chuck, gonna see if I can get that VC working, I don't have the default FA-18 though, I only have the straight FSX with SP1 & SP2 so I'll have to hunt down a decent panel unless you know where I can get the default FA-18 panel. I think you have to have acceleration to get the extra planes. 8-)

Yeah I just found that out Chuck and none of the ones I have will work right either so I'm just gonna let it be till this guy get the correct VC built for this, I've already screwed up 2 things on this plane just trying to tweek this cockpit, I got a cockpit view, just no VC so I'll deal with that but thanks anyway, the 2 freeware FA-18 I have I just found out since I just added the SP2 updates the canopy's turned black on them and now I cant see out cept for where the HUD is, they work fine with the SP1 only update but then my strobe and nav lights don't work of a lot of my planes so Microsoft better step the game up with this new "Flight" cause this is getting on my last nerve! :-?

I love the shots #3 and #4.
Your ground textures are blurry, but since it is desert terrain, it's not really a problem, and it make a nice contrast with the airplane. Well done.

Hehe, not really picky, just advising precisely

Anybody can make good screenshots, no matter the computer. If your computer cannot render something correctly, then you must try to hide it, by choosing carefully the angle of view. Or the zoom ! When zooming on the aircraft, you emphasize the blurriness of the distant background textures. This happens even on the most powerfull computers. The alternative is to get the camera closer to the plane instead of zooming in. If you manage to get the camera close to the plane while maintaining the zoom at 0.80 or 0.70, then the blurries become less visible, and the surrounding world seems more detailed. This kind of tips and tricks are fully part of the screenshooting art !

Concerning the addon sceneries, not all of them will impact your performance. For example, photosceneries will not have any impact on your FPS... actually, since 99,99% of the photosceneries don't have any autogen, they can have a POSITIVE impact on your FPS

Ok, but how do get the camera to move closer to the plane? "Shift + Enter" moves the camera back but I cant figure out how to move it closer, and your tips make a lot of sence to me, not all add scenery are so bad my system, I have a few that aren't that bad yet they do slow the rate down some and then some are just terrible. And the ones that I got that are not so bad also only look cool from certain heights and camera angles. Come on now, your trying to fly the plane, swing camera views around and keep everything steady, sometimes it's just ah little to much to get that perfect shot. You know I really envy the pilots with the high end PC's and fancy graphics, high end controllers but my top end Dell XPS blew a motherboard and they want $800 for a new one so screw that, I bought a new laptop for way less cause that's all I could afford at the time and I just don't think this one is powerful enough to handle and 1,000's of fancy add-ons without all the crashing. I didn't know I could try FS9 scenery in my FSX maybe I'll try that, but what keys do I use to move the camera closer? You sound like you know what your talking about 8-)

Ctrl+Enter/Backspace moves camera forward and back.
Shift+Enter/Backspace moves camera up and down.

You'll have to use the commands nammed "spot view distance (decrease/increase)" or something like that.
In my FSX, those are assigned to CTRL+'+' and CTRL+'-', which means holding the Control key plus one of the two keys that increase or decrease the selection.
As for taking the screenshots while controlling the plane, just do like I do: Pause the sim

Yeah I thought about the pause button but I didn't want the little red tag at the bottom in the shot, and thanks for tips on the camera, I'll see if that works, but like I tell everybody, FSX has so many freaking versions & add ons now, that what works for you on your PC set up might not work for other people on they set up's. I hope when this new "Flight" is ready it's gonna be just one version we can use and help each other out with, not 10 different version, 5 updates etc etc etc....SMH!

Thanks guys for all the cool tips!
1.The pause thing worked better for me cause I never noticed the lil red bar was blinking and if you time you shot in between the blinks that works out fine.
2.For me "Ctrl & enter" & Ctrl & backspace" worked in the cockpit.
outside the cockpit "Ctrl & +" & "Ctrl & -" worked for me! 8-)
So your both right and all this time I never knew you could float the camera around the plane like that SMH :-/ and your 100% right Daube, by using the camera to push my plane back closer to the background, and THEN zooming in on my plane the backgrounds are no longer blurred and very crisp

Well I'll be damned, if you hang around this forum long enough you just might learn ah thing or two!!
