havent entered this competition for a month or two... I know this aircraft has been featured heavily in the comp, but lets face it, you can never have too many beaver shots?! ....

cool shot 8-) and your right...you cant have too many beavers

Beautifull!  Nice use of the big cloud covering most of the horizon!  Really brings out that snowy sky effect!  And nice job on some of the scenery!  You sure can put those beavers through a lot.


If you want to listen to a rant on my attempts:
Though in my attempts I seem to be constantly focusing on trying some of my diffrent G21A Goose paints around smith mountain lake.  But sadly, they end up so big and high quality, that I have to do MAJOR quality reductions to get it within the 155kb limit, and by then, it looks HORRIBLY pixelated.  But anyway, you can find some neat stuff around there, for example.  And if you want to see something cool, search around a certain part of the lake and you'll find something quite unusual.  Let's just say, in the real world, there's a dam at the top, and I wouldn't want to be a FS boater there.
Again, sorry to rant.

Club, what are you using to take your shots, and what are you using to compress them?

Ive never had this problem, even down to below 50% quality to get under the 155kb limit theres no sign of pixelation!

I use the print screen request button, then paste into Paint.NET, save as jpeg, then use the quality slider to reduce it to the closest under 155kb as possible.

Try resizing to 1024 then save as a jpeg. Try the free version of fraps to capture maybe?

Actually, I just got bout 10 good ones that I'm able to keep in th 90-100% range.  So nevermind with all this stuff.  Problom now is, choosing which to enter!

Eh, I already have something that works probably just as good as that.  A print screen button, that little windows key that takes you to you desktop and minimizes the program, and a Paint.NET to save it.  And I already have some shots, I'm now in the stage of picking which one!

as for resizing/screenshot grabbing, I tend to just hit 'V' several hundred times a minute till i get a nice shot
