Alas, my old joystick finally bit the bullet and died an honourable death after nearly 12 years of hard work.  The old Thrustmaster Top Gun FX Pro 2 was a great stick, heavy enough for military jets yet still feather light to the touch.  But, out with the old and in with the new!
I am now the proud owner of a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro.  It handles very well, not as heavy or as large as the old Thrustmaster but with more buttons (Yay for true HOTAS! YAY!)

So obviously my first test run was in the superb Team FS KBT F/A-18E SuperHornet, and both plane and new stick handeled brilliantly!  Here are some photos from the flight, taken by a photographer in a trailing F/A-18F two seater.

Okay, rendevous at correct co-ordinates, check.  "Eh Ell Tee, what Squadron is that bird from?  I haven't seen those colours before, or the tail-code."
Cookie to the first person to figure out the squadron and where it is from!

Image
"You know, I do wonder why he is carrying a full loadout for a photoshoot..."

Image
"FASTER LIEUTENANT!  HE'S OUTRUNNING US AND I CAN'T GET THE SHOT!"

Image
"Is it safe to be this low to the deck, Ell Tee?  These are $80 Million dollar Fighters you know!"

Image
"OH COME ON!!!  That's just insanity!  HE'S MACH 2 AND FREAKING INVERTED!!!!!"

I'm having fun and I'll probably end up uploading a few more sets of photos before the night is over.

Comments welcome, and Good Hunting!
