Taking a look at Irene...

Postby patchz » Sat Aug 27, 2011 2:58 pm

Chuck, not only does the throttle stick, but the flaps/thruster lock in place after landing too. This thing is harder to fly STOL/VTOL than other I've incountered.

Thanks for looking. :)

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Thanks Chuck. :)
[edit]He's right Chuck. I ditched it and got the one from Iris and no more sticking throttle. It does take a sensitive touch though. But once you get the hang of it, it's amazing.

It will fly forward at a 45 degree angle (the aircraft, not the nozzle) at 65 knots.

How is it bugged? :-? I don't understand :-/

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

I got this one too and hate it as well, like I said before all the vtol crafts I've come across other than the helicopters really suck on handling in freeware, I'll see about getting the one you suggest here, cause I'm ready to trash all the vtol planes I have. SMH! :(

Hey guys, just wondering, how do you switch to VTOL? Or Vertical Takeoff Mode or whatever :P

I think Chuck already told you in another thread, but I highly recommend Wilco's Tiltrotor. You have to change the throttle assignment on your joystick to fly it and

then change back for normal aircraft, but it flies great. I find it easier than most helicopters.

i downloaded an update for iris f-35 aswell.
it now easily takes off (its a 1 knot takeoff, but just after takeoff you can easily correct it)
and the afterburner is fixed.

The exhaust points down like you see in the shots, and just behind the cockpit there is a lifting fan ala older russian vtol aircraft.

Nice shots, but as for the model ,this ones got nothing on Dino's... other than being the B model. But then again, the Iris version is now free! Cant beat free!
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.
